I mentioned that the Countryside and State Fair Mister Huey's are being discontinued... so be sure to stock up on your favorites before they're going going gone.
Many colors are in stock at Studio Calico (will ship free with your kit right now!) and at Two Peas. I used them for two new layouts I wanted to share:
You know I love rainbows. I created this by blocking off parts of the paper and misted over top. It didn't turn out quite as perfect as my little Type A heart would have liked, but it still makes me happy. I think this would also be fun in monochromatic or tone on tone.
Mister Huey's used, in order: Overdue (NEW and not in stores yet - but pick up Schoolhouse), Orchard, Sunshine, Clover, Pickle, Bluegrass, Bonny Blue, Lunchtray, Pony, Cameo (NEW - and I used this because my bottle of Piglet was sent in with a CK assignment.) Thickers were misted with Pony.
I thought about doing this technique while I was falling asleep the other night. I wanted it to look like screenprinted letters and used the negative from letters cut with my Silhouette. I love the results and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be trying this again on another layout. I went heavy on the mist for this one and it will be neat to see light misting instead.

It's funny because I was terrified of using mists and the pretty things sat on my shelf until Amy came to visit last November. She helped me break them in, and now after countless hours doing demos at CKC's + I can't even count how many classes I've taught on how to use them... I can't live without them.
So make sure you snatch up your favorites from the older lines. And when the new ones arrive soon, I'll be back to enable you again!
