All I wanted for my birthday was to lay on Miami beach in the sun and a pot de cream from Michael's Genuine.

Done and done.

With a visit from Susan + Baby W and extra doughnuts as a bonus.

I found this quote on Tumblr and thought it suited me well for a year twenty-eight mantra...

Spring?

Days like today are meant to be wasted away laying in the park, reading or talking but definitely laughing, people watching, and relishing how peaceful New York can actually be.

A couple random things to post today...

I feel like I'm having a photography identity crisis.  Not happy with the quality or appearance of my photos lately.  Just not happy.  They're not coming out how I want and I feel like my "eye" has been awful lately.  I want to develop a personal style but right now it's just all over the place and a mess.  Do you ever feel like this?  What do you do to break out of this rut?  i want to invest some time looking at photographer's sites to get inspired again and would love links to any of your favorites!

And an old layout to share...

I love Shamrock Shakes.  Love them.  I remember when I was a little kid my mom would bring me lunch from McDonald's on my birthday and there would always be a Shamrock Shake.  What is a better match for greasy fries than a minty green shake?

Except this year I learned the calorie count for the those babies and have put off indulging myself so far this month.  But tomorrow might just be the day.  Some green beer and a Shamrock Shake?  And maybe some Pomme Frites too.  Why not, right?

Papertrey Ink March Projects

I'm super excited to share my March Papertrey Ink projects!!!  It has been so much fun being the Guest Designer for this amazing company.  I've loved playing with all the gorgeous products :)

I did some scrapbook layouts again with the stamps, so here we go...

Supplies: Mini Book Tabs, Outlines Alphabet, Wonderfully Whimsical, Bitty Box Basics

There are a million things I can think of to do with this adorable Wonderfully Whimsical set!  I love it.  For my page I created mountains and tucked the little houses and trees down in there.  Can't wait to play with this one more!

Supplies: Springtime Doodles, Outlines Alphabet, Mini Book Tabs, Summer Sunrise Cardstock, Berry Sorbet Cardstock, New Leaf Cardstock, Orange Zest Cardstock, Kraft Cardstock, Hawaiian Shores Cardstock, Holiday Mix Vintage Buttons

It makes me so happy when stamps fit perfectly with my Fiskars punches and there are so many that do from this March release. Springtime Doodles stamps worked well to create my own patterned background and I also paired the polka dot half circle from Mini Book Tabs with my 1" circle punch to create a scallop border.

These flowers were too gorgeous not to use!  I took the purple, teal, yellow color combo from the photos and was able
match them nicely using the Perfect Match inks.  This flower set is so great for layering flowers together for a fun 3D look.

I hope I've inspired you a bit with my March layouts.  Thank you so, so much to Nichole and the fabulous Papertrey Ink team for letting me guest for you.  It was such an honor and I absolutely enjoyed my two months!!!  Thank you!

Sketchbook Peeks!

Thank you to all of you who have already registered for Sketchbook!  I'm super excited to get this class underway and think you're really going to enjoy it :)
