You Could Already Be a Winner

It's been a long time since I took a jumping photo.  This Queen of Jumping's crown is quite tarnished.

I'm definitely carrying more lbs now than I had in the last jump.  And was wearing the completely wrong shoes.  And was jumping on noisy hardwood floors that probably irked the hell out of the person below me.

But the jumps are back.

Hero Arts Fun

I have to take a minute or two and gush about another one of my favorite companies... Hero Arts :)  They are just good people who make incredible products.  Adore them.  Last week they sent me a box of the most fabulous stamps - I think this is my favorite release of theirs!!!  So many different styles and designs.  Totally inspired me to whip up a few pages...

This cityscape stamp is going to be used A LOT.  Just like I play that Jay-Z + Alicia Keyes song A LOT ;)

 
And I'm sure you know my obsession with word bubbles by now.  Love this Write Your Message set.

These lacey stamps are the most gorgeous ones... going to get so much use out of them.  Especially the starburst!  They stamp so crisp and clean with ink.

I've got many more wonderful stamps waiting for me to play with when I get home.  I honestly can't wait.  Thank you so, so much to Hero Arts and my incredible friend Jennifer.  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!  Congrats to Angy, who is the winner of my favorites from Papertrey Ink :)

Thank you so much for all your amazing comments... I was completely blown away by the support from the PTI community.  You ladies are wonderful.  For various reasons, back in the fall I stopped blogging about my personal life and turned this into just a crafty blog.  So I really hope that I'm sharing enough good stuff to keep you reading.  Will certainly do my best to start sharing more for my wonderful readers!

Right now I'm in Portland, OR teaching at CKC.  I did two 3.5 hr classes today and they were amazing!  I've heard that Portland is a fabulous venue and I definitely have to agree... I had a blast today.

So for those of you that are new to my blog, I have to tell you that I have two big passions in life... travel and food.  And this traveling foodie is love love loving Portland!  Last night I had an amazing dinner at Le Pigeon.  One of the cool things about this little resto is that the kitchen is right in the middle of the dining room, with bar seats around it.  As I ate I was able to watch food be prepared and talk to the chefs.  Brilliant.

This is the chef/owner Gabriel who is so talented (2007 Food & Wine Magazine's Rising Chef winner) and so friendly. 
 


I had pigeon onion soup and beef cheek... so delicious and beautiful!

And this... this, my friends, was one of the most incredible desserts I've ever had.  This was three little foie gras profiteroles with caramel and sea salt.  Heaven.  (And I do want to note that I apologize to those that feel strongly about foie gras.) Excellent wine list to boot.  Love Le Pigeon.

Papertrey Ink Perfection

Speaking of love lists... one day I got an email from Nichole that pretty much makes the love list for my entire life.  It was the nicest, sweetest, kindest, most complimentary email I had ever received.  I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me blush - in a very, very good way.  She had invited me to guest design for the wonderful Papertrey Ink and that right there would definitely make any love list.

I'm so honored and excited to be up to bat for February + March with this fabulous company and the amazing designers at Papertrey Ink.  They really are perfection in my mind... talk about serious talent in their designs and the projects they come up with using the fabulous products.  Being someone who loves to get her hands inky (and in fact ended up with a rubber stamp image on the wood floor of her bedroom today!!!) I'm beyond thrilled. 

So welcome to all the Papertrey Ink-ers that are stopping by my blog!  Very happy to have you here and hope you'll stick around for more peeks into my silly scrappy life :)  And my favorite part is that I get to host another giveaway!  Woot.

Just looking at those goodies makes my heart skip a beat. These are my favorite Papertrey Ink products... and I think you can tell they've totally got my name written all over them!

Love Lists

I don't know if you were able to read all the comments left about things on your love lists but you definitely should!  All of the comments made me smile, so many made me laugh, and a couple even made me a bit teary.  Thank you for sharing and your kind words on kindness :)  The winners of the books are...

And everyone was so sweet that I want to send a little something out to a few more people...

So... my 2010 love list.  Just off the top of my head, here's what I've got (excuse the repeats... some things I will always have undying love for): my iPhone, deliciousness from any Momofuku establishment, tweets that make me laugh out loud, the Brooklyn Bridge, king size hotel beds, my Fuji Instax camera and the photos that I take with it, ridiculous sweaters that my brothers wear, mac 'n cheese bars, window seats on airplanes, girl talk with my roomies about boys, the Rockefeller Center Anthropolgie, the cobblestone streets of Soho, the view of the UWS from my bedroom, text messages, spending any sliver of time with my best friends, Taylor Swift's "Love Story", meals at the Shake Shack, Michigan State basketball games, dates that that make me laugh so hard I cry, Ingrid Michaelson, Miami Beach, watching Guliana & Bill, the glass windows up on the High Line, cocktail rings, old people holding hands in the park, flourless chocolate cake at Diner, and iChats with Sarah.
