Sunday afternoon Adam and I took the magic underwater subway to the Brooklyn Flea in Williamsburg. It was the best way to spend a few hours hanging out. I wish that I had the talent of my dear friend Jessica, and could find the gems at flea markets.
But I do have an eye for finding the delicious food. And there is much of that to be found.
I had some tasty Mahi Mahi tacos with a Mexican Coke (I can never resist!!!) + Adam had hot dogs from Asia Dog.
I also wanted a lobster roll from Red Hook Lobster Pound, a pizza from Pizza Moto, ice cream from Blue Marble, a popsicle from People's Pops, a grilled cheese from Milk Truck, a sandwich from Porchetta, and a Crack Pie from Momo Milk Bar. But we had a 7:00 dinner reservation that I needed to be hungry for. Next time, BK Flea. Next time.
My big purchase was this California case that Adam was kind enough to lug home for me...
And I returned the favor by hauling his big purchase of the day...
The cool thing about this location (they are in another part of Brooklyn on Saturday's) is that it's right on the water with an amazing view of Manhattan...
We sat in the park and just looked at the island for a little bit. So peaceful.
I snapped this pic because it simply equals Williamsburg hipsters to me. Williamsburg is the mecca of hipsters right now... Walking around there, I could kind of see myself living there. And loving it.
Maybe I'm a hipster disguised as a J.Crew junkie...
